The Knock - Down Shot

Golfers need to understand that golf is all about curves, arcs and angles, so there is no fixed position for your setup in golf, you look at every situation differently. Then you decide what you're set up and position yourself for the shot you want to play so that with the knock-down shot, your hand and head will be ahead of the golf ball. Your ball will have to be back further in your stance so you can easily swing on the right path and out to the right side if needed When you rotate, you will hit your target. Then I would like you to imagine taken the club back so the butt of your club is pointed to the ball in your back swing. then swing down to your release point this is your finish for this shot. Hold it there for a count of six seconds. You can’t hit a proper knockdown shot with a high finish because of the angle of attack coming down into the back of the ball. griping down the shaft will give you maximum spin and check for this shot.

So you have the scoring clubs from a six iron up to wedges. You can play this type of shot best, then you have the lower lofted clubs swinging coming into the ball at a shallower angle, so they skip off the ground to a finish. Always take rehearsal swings before you take any shots.
