Practising spinning at home can be great fun. Did you ever think the golf ball is a heavy version of a ping-pong ball? A great way to improve is to start playing at home with ping pong balls practice spinning; if you get a chair that folds up, you can play a lot of shots in golf by using this method using ping pong balls and a fold up chair, firstly start with a chair that folds up open up the chair and the lowest crossbar at the back of the chair try and get the ping pong ball to go under that bar, after doing this do the same but try and get the ball to go above the crossbar on the chair, then do the following exercises try and get the ball to go between the seat and the high bar of the chair, after that try and get the ball to go over the chair you will soon see the different angles you can launch the ball using your wedges, this will improve your timing and the more repetitions you do, the better your strike the ball . You will see improve contact with your club on the ball. It doesn’t have to be a golf ball to get you striking the ball properly. You need to understand what your hands are doing in your golf swing. And this will help with your golf game. Also a great exercise for getting the ball stop dead on the green, is to start practicing with your hands ahead and your weight forward, then pick the club up steeply, then on the downswing go through the ball into the ground the deeper the divot you have the better cheek spin you get, the clubface needs to be open slightly so it skip on the ground at the back of the ball then digs into the ground after the ball is gone. you need nice fairways and good greens to get the ball to hop hop and then stop dead on the third bounce.
