Stop Pulling & hooking the ball.
Video 1
There is a few reasons why you are pulling and hooking the golf, one is you are arm & shoulder swinging when you go to hit the ball this puts your head forward and causes you to pull the ball, if your club face is closed in any way this will cause you to pull hook the ball left. To stop this from happening you need to feel your hands swing the club, start by have a club in your hands without a ball and swing the club in different directions to get what it feel like, then on your backswing don’t try and have a straight left arm let bend, so you can throw the club downwards to the ball and on the direction you want the ball to start on, knowing that the club face will give you the curve you want the ball to your target.
What happens when your hold the golf club too tightly when you are swinging the club, so understanding the correct grip and the difference between the swing plane and swing path is so important.
One of the reasons you hook the golf ball is because of your grip. The dominant hand takes over. Also, you are swinging the club on the wrong swing path. Did you know that the golf club is engineered the fit ergonomically in everyone’s hands? It would be best if you practised gripping the club at home to get the feel of you club fitting in the heel of your hand. like holding a fishing rod , The more rehearsals swings you take, before you hit your shot, the lighter the club feels in your hands helps get rid off any tension you feel when you are holding the golf club.
