Week 10 Q &A
101
Q. 1 Are you advised that a draw goes further than a fade in golf?
A. Explain in your own words your understanding of this?
This does not make sense. A left-hand draw goes the same distance as a right-handed fade because the golf ball doesn’t know who has taken the shot. , if the ball has the same amount of spin in any shot, it will go the same distance. The only difference is the ball will spin in different ways. But a ball hit with left spin a draw for right handed golfers when hits the ground will run out more than a ball with right spin a fade hits the ground. Will land softer? so if a left handed golfer hits the shot the same shots it will have the same results.
Q. 2 Are you advised to try and hit the ball straight down the target line to hit good golf shots?
A. Explain your understanding of this in your own words.
Doing this will cause you to swing over the top, and you will start slicing the ball. You need fo to understand that the ball is 360 degrees, and you are swinging the club in the arc of a circle, so you have very little chance of hitting the golf ball down the line if you are one or two degrees off either side of the ball with the air perssure on the ball in will spin left or right of your target. Discovering how to curve the ball differently will get you to hit your target whenever you can do this from home using ping-pong balls.
Q. 3 Are you advised when putting to try and leaving the ball 18 inches past the hole if you miss the putt?
A. Explain this in your own words whats yous understanding of this?
If you practice trying to leave the ball 18 inches past the hole, this will always put pressure on you putts, when you get the feel of rolling the ball with overspin you will start understanding distence control so in your set up see the spot about six inches in front of the ball and try and roll the ball over the spot continue to look at the ball with topspin to the hole. Imagine you are rolling athe ball to a child, never let the putter's weight sit on the ground. It can touch the grass, but not sitting on the ground if it sits on the ground this will cause you to lift the putter with tension in your hands and lose the feel for distance and control with your putt.
Q. 4 are you advised to keep working your golf swing to hit consistent golf shots and have a beautiful swing?
A. explain your understanding of this in your own words?
You need to realise that you were born with your unique golf swing. No one can copy it, or you can’t impersonate anyone else, so start discovering how to curve and spin the ball and how far back on your backswing you need to be to have coil to hit different types of shots you don’t want. If you overswing you will reverse your weight and fall off balance. Discover your release point for all golf shots and practice swinging to it.
A great exercise to do is to take back the club as soft as possible and just let the club fall into the release point with about 5% of your energy, then do it with 20% per cent of energy out to 50% and finish at 75% energy do repetitions of ten this will be excellent for feel and control with your golf shots.
Q. 5 Are you advised to throw the club outwards on the top of your backswing to generate more speed in your golf swing and make your arc as long as possible?
A. Explain your understanding of this in your own words?
There are two ways to get maximum speed in your golf swing one is for younger golfers with a more petite upper body frame, and the other is for ladies with bigger chests and men that are getting older with a more oversized frame and a belly of any sort. The longer arc is okay for, the more petite frame but not for more prominent frame people. You can use this centripetal force method that creates speed, like in martial arts, where shorter Is faster. This lets you fold the arm on the backswing, straighten out at the hitting area to your release point and then the left arm folds up as you finish your golf swing getting your maximum speed and distance with balance in your golf swing. This is one of the older pros used, and it never falls off balance.
Task 10 play the whole round of golf and count how many fairways and greens in regulation you hit. on what side you hit or miss them on in regulation.
you need to have a note pad draw a square for the fairways , and a circle for greens for each hole pencil mark where the ball ends up on note pad. always take the note pad for every round of golf you play from this day on this will improve your golf because you will have the data for your golf game.
Bring scorecard back for the next call so we can discuss.
