Week 11 Q &A 111

Q. 1 are you been advised if you don’t hit the ball properly, you need to fix your golf swing?

A. Explain your understanding of this in your own words?

Golfers need to recognise that there is nothing wrong with their golf swing. You need to assess that the tour players’ shaft differs from the shaft sold to amateurs golfer. Also, the pro knows the exact distance for each club and does not try and get any more distance from them. The amateur should do the same if they care about improving their game, then discover the five different ways to spin and curve the goofball, not wasting time trying to force their shots to get more distance from their clubs and looking to have a beautiful golf swing at the same time.

Q. 2 have you advised in bunkers shots that you need to get under the ball, try and force it out with the strength of your arms and finish high simultaneously?

  1. Explain in your own words how you do it?

In the bunkers around the green, you need to discover how to skip the club through the sand to create a backspin. When doing this, imagine the golf ball is in the middle of a saucer, then take out all of the saucers with the ball when you make your golf swing. It will help if you discover what makes this happen to skip the club through the sand. There are two points of entry into the sand one is for a soft landing, the other is for the ball to run out when it hits the green, one is for dry sand, and the other is for playing out of wet, heavy sand you need to practice them both, and you will get out first time every time. The club has to cradle in your hands to feel as light as possible this will happen if you take a few rehearsal swings beforehand and also will soften the grip pressure when you make your golf swing. also hard sand you play this shot different you should close in the club face so it becomes a digging divice weight forward then swing the club down true the ball leaving the club face buried in the sand so the ball pops out easily everytime.

Q. 3 You are advised to chip around the greens using your arms and shoulders.

Explain in your own words what you do?

If you use your arms and shoulders for chipping, you will slap at the ball, which causes you to skull the ball across the green. It also forces you to hit fat shots. Instead, you should start using your hands and wrist in a chopping motion, like if you hammer a nail at an angle, so your wrist works up and down at around 45 degrees to the ground. This will make the ball spin every time, not back and forth like you have been told. At the start, when practising, keep the heel up off the ground so you can get the feeling of skipping the club off the ground. This will help you from hitting fat shots

.

Q.4 Are you advised you only have two swing types, one for short games and one for the long game?

A. Explain in your own words what you think about spin?

You have five different swing types, all used for different types of spin for any given shot you may have to play backspin is the main shot you will play a lot of your shots can be played off the tee and hitting shots onto greens, then you have left spin if you want to fade or slice the ball. You play right to spin if you're going to draw or hook the ball. You play over spin when playing into the wind, and you want to keep it down or if you want the ball to run out, playing a long chip shot. You have check spin; this is a must-discover shot because you can play this shot in many situations, getting the ball to stop death. Also, you can play the stinger shot and the knockdown shot.

Q. 5 Are you advised you have to swing the club on the proper plane to hit good golf shots?

A. Explain in your own words how you understand plane in your golf swing

Golfers need to discover the difference between swing planes and swing paths. In golf, you are always swinging the club on the correct plane you have to because you will swing across your chest for all your golf shots, but when you discover that it’s not the right path, then and only then will you be able to fix all your golf shots when you find out the path you want to swing the club on to get the ball where you want it to go. You have to get this into your head. There are two parts to every swing: the direction the ball starts in, and the other is angle it curves.
