Week 12 Q &A

Q. 1 Are you advised to make your normal swing to get the ball out of the rough?
Golfers need to discover five different swing types of spin they can put on the ball. The swing you make in the rough is the half swing, comming down into the ball at a steeper angle with backspin, so your club gets to your release point quickly to strike the ball solid, letting the club swing up to hip height and hold it there. Sometimes, it’s less than your hip height, depending on how heavy and wet the rough is. You possibly get a flyer out of these shots, so allow for this.
Q. 2 Are you always advised to complete your golf swing to the high finish when playing in the wind?
When playing into the wind, one of the best ways to play your golf shot is to keep the ball as low as possible this can be done by the stinger shot or the knockdown shot played with overspin on the golf ball; playing golf in downwind you play the shot with backspin so the wind will carry it further without considerable effort from you. Playing golf in the crosswind needs to be able to spin and curve both ways. Then you decide how you want the ball to move left to right or right to left. Let the wind be your friend when playing golf as much as possible. Sometimes to have to fight it to hold off the golf ball.
Q. 3 Have you been advised to take golf lessons to improve your golf game?
It has been proven over the last fifty years that golf lessons don’t work because they keep working on golfers’ golf swing, hoping to have a perfect golf swing, and you don’t need a perfect golf swing to play good golf. The golf instructor keeps working on the golfers’ swing to fix their golf shots then golfers get frustrated because they don’t have this beautiful golf swing to play golf. It’s time to wake up and don’t let yourself be fooled any longer by the teaching world of golf. The ball has to spin full stop, so if you can’t spin and curve the ball, you are wasting your time and money, causing you to be frustrated trying to perfect your golf swing, which is impossible. So you have now to blame only yourself if you continue doing this. It would be best if you discovered how spinning and curving the ball work and the five different ways you can spin and curve the ball for all the other shots you need to play in golf, then discover how to read the line that you want to roll the ball on this is done by plum bobbing using the shaft on your putter so you can decide what speed you need to get the ball close on in the hole so you can enjoy and have fun playing golf.
Q. 4 Are you been advised you have to get worse before you get better after you take golf lessons
this is my point about taking information telling you it’s going to have you worse at something after you learn it is the only sport in the world that tell you this; the game of golf is about knowledge, and if you have the correct information, you will improve instantly if you put it into practice because it common sense if you think about what you need to do in golf, is spin the ball. Not working on your golf swing. You can make a beautiful golf swing does not guarantee you will hit a good golf shot. But if you can spin the ball the way you want, this will ensure a beautiful golf swing.
Q. 5 Are you advised you have to have a flat left wrist at the top of your backswing?
If golfers could only understand what this means, how can you even find out if your wrist is flat if it is behind you… Then you have a split second to swing the club down from the top. Instead, imagine letting what happens behind you happen if you were to knock down a tree, you have the taught in your head, and you swing to it. It’s the same for golf. Just see a spot around the ball, swing to it, getting the club to skip off the ground down to your release point. There you have a golf swing. Then, if you want to hit the ball higher or lower, move the ball back and forth in your stance, always taking rehearsal swings and getting the club to skip off the ground.
Step 12 is the easiest way to lower your handicap in golf. Play a round of golf, note how many times you got up and down from around the green and how many times you didn’t and bring the scorecard back to me to discuss on the next call.
