Week 13 Q & A 131
Q. 1 Are you advised to hit the shot as usual when playing over water?
You need to be aware that playing over water, because the water is heavy and pulls the ball downwards into the water, the ball won’t spin as much you always need to take an extra club or two for the longer shots hitting over water. It is always best to lay up short. It’s best not to mess around with water.
Q. 2 Are you advised when chipping to use your arms and shoulders like a putting stroke?
If you used your arms and shoulders when chipping, you would never be able to put a check spin on the ball. This means you will have little or no control or the direction of the ball around the greens. Also, it will cause you to slap at the ball and most lightly skull the ball across the garden with over spin; you need to discover how your hands and wrist work up and down to create a check spin on the ball and start skipping the sole of the club on the ground to your release point holding it there to get a maximum spin. The example, I would like you to imagine you were going to hit someone, and you used the back of your hand to do this. I don’t think it would be solid; this is a slapping motion when you use your arms and shoulders in your golf swing rather than the side of your hand where the bone is. This is a chopping motion. It's a lot stronger, and it’s more accurate for your golf swing.
Q.3 Are you advised to interlock your grip to swing the club properly when playing golf?
Golf is a throwing motion, and finding the best grip for you depends on the size of your hands because the club is engineered to fit in every man, woman and child's hands when you properly hold it. Also, people generally have different lengths of fingers, which is essential for a good grip. Three basic types of off-grips are used in golf, and every golfer should try all three to get their answer. The most common is the interlocking grip, then you have the overlap grip known as the varden grip and the five-finger grip for golfers with short fingers. The best way to find out what grip is proper for you is to go to a field with old clubs you no longer use. Set yourself up like a golf swing as if you are going to throw the club under your arm as far as you can. Whatever club you can throw the longest should be how your grip for your golf swing is.
Q. 4 Are you coming over the top with your golf swing and can’t stop it?
You need to understand what causes it then you can stop it. Coming over the top is very simple to stop when you realise and discover the right path to swing your club. First of all, you need to know there are two parts to your golf shots first part is the way the ball starts, and the second part is the angle it curves. Where you swing any mass of weight, this is the swing path, so for the first twenty or thirty yards, the ball will stay on this path. This depends on your golf capeabbalty. Then the club face will curve the ball at the angle it meets it at impact. So if you are swinging over the top, your swinging across your body with the club face open. To stop this, tilt your chest back, head behind the ball, and swing out to the right with the front slightly closed.
Week 13. This is the essential part of improving your golf before you start playing competitive
you need to go and get the proper distance for each of the clubs in your bag,g, so you have distance control for each club you play a golf shot with. It will be a slow process, but so important for your golf game. How you do this is to go to your home course at a quite time. You have distance markers there,e so it gives you a reference to work. Of also has a range finder to help but best of all is to step out of your yard because most people think they hit the ball longer than they do. This is why it’s so important to see your yardage yourself. Rights all your distance for each club,b so have a note pat when you get home. You can take them down and stick them on your club shaft with sellotape righting the space on the back of the post. So, you always have them there every time you play.
